THE Limerick Strand Hotel unveiled the first elements of their major refurbishment programme with a lavish party to celebrate on April 4.
The hotel has completed a €1.6million refurbishment programme upgrading 184 contemporary bedrooms, 13 suites and bedroom corridors, making it Limerick’s only fully refurbished hotel. The team at the popular hotel was joined by mix of clients, friends and well-known faces from the world of sport, fashion, beauty, music and media for the launch of their new-look.
The celebrations took place over sparkling glasses of Lillet Blanc & Rosé spritz, refreshing Garnish Island Gin & Poacher’s Tonic, cool Rockshore Lager and the all new Rockshore Apple Cider plus a selection of new Pierre Zero non-alcoholic wine range for designated drivers. Guests enjoyed delicious canapés courtesy of award-winning executive chef Tom Flavin and his team.
General manager Stephen O’Connor and director of Sales & Marketing, Marie O’Gorman Skelly and the Strand team welcomed guests, wowing them with a tour of the new-look rooms and upgrades. Other highlights included a stunning performance from world champion gymnastic pole dancer Lisette Krol, music from The Loungeman and both Francis Brennan and Michael D Higgins impersonators.
