THREE seconds which “were a lifetime in the making” saw Limerick native, Becky “The Man” Lynch crowned as WWE double champion.
In what was the first Wrestlemania main event to feature a non-North-American native, the Limerick-born wrestler defeated Rhonda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a ‘triple threat’ in New Jersey at the Met-Life Stadium to take the WWE RAW Women’s Championship and WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship belt at Wrestlemania 35.
Unthinkable to think what was once unthinkable. Those 3 seconds last night were a lifetime in the making. Thank you to all of you who have been on this crazy whirlwind journey with me. We’re only getting started. #becky2belts pic.twitter.com/OHDYTxsYQd

“It’s hard to put into words how I’m feeling now,” Lynch told WWE.com, adding “It’s just so overwhelming, I’ve worked for this my entire life. I’ve dreamed about this, I’ve obsessed about this and I never knew how I was going to feel. I think I probably had a picture of it, I think it’s just so much going on in my head right now I can’t comprehend it, I just achieved all my dreams.”
