New 33 space car park opened in Adare

-

LIMERICK City and County Council is pleased to announce the opening of a new 33 space car park in Adare, Co. Limerick.

The car park, which includes two dedicated disabled spaces, is located on the N21 directly across the road from Scoil Naomh Iosaf, on the Newcastle West side of the village.

In addition to providing additional parking spaces for Adare Village, the car park will also provide a much-needed safe parking location for vehicles during periods when pupils are being dropped off or collected at the school.

The provision of a new relocated pedestrian crossing outside the school, linked by new footpaths, will facilitate a safe walking route for parents and pupils attending the Scoil Naomh Iosaf.

Mayor of the City and County of Limerick Cllr James Collins said, “These new parking spaces are most welcome for the village of Adare.  They will help with traffic management in the village especially during school opening and closing times.”

“Adare is one of Limerick’s tourist gems and this car park will help make the village more welcoming, especially as the essence of the village will be changed for the better when the bypass is opened.”
