The Limerick camogie side came up just short against Kilkenny today in the Gaelic Grounds, losing 1-12 to 0-14.
In spite of the loss, Limerick will face Galway in the semi-final of the League after winning their opening three rounds of the competition.
For the most part, Limerick can be happy with their performance with Kilkenny chasing a fourth consecutive League title.
Manager Declan Nash, spoke with positive words about his side after the game.
“Immensely happy. Very proud of the girls. Performance from minute one was all you could ask for. Just very unlucky.”
This game will prove a learning curve for this Limerick side who went stride for stride with a Kilkenny team who have reached the All-Ireland final for the last three years.
Next up with is Galway on March 10, with a League final at stake with Nash focused on that challenge.
“We’ll build on today and kick on for the semi-final.”
