NETFLIX customers in Limerick are being warned of a scam that aims to convince them that their account has been suspended. ESET Ireland says that the customers are targeted by emails asking them to update their account details. If the user clicks the link, they’re taken to a fake Netflix website login page and, after submitting their username and password to the scammers, they’re asked to give personal information as well as their credit card details. The cybercriminals then redirect them to the real Netflix website.
