Limerick’s footballers earned their second win from their opening two games in the Allianz Football League Division 4 when they beat Waterford 1-13 to 0-10 at Mick Neville Park yesterday.
It was an impressive performance from Billy Lee’s side with Pat Begley’s goal on 60 minutes securing the deserved victory. Lee was happy with the team’s performance after the game.
“It was really important for the lads. They are the future of Limerick football, I’m not. They are the future and building their confidence is important.
“I thought we played well today for a lot of it. Everyone should be happy at the moment.”
