Munster centre Rory Scannell was an integral part of the team’s superb Champions Cup win over Gloucester last week and is looking for more of the same when Exeter Chiefs come to Thomond Park this Saturday.

A win is a must for Munster if they are to have any hope of securing a home quarter final and Scannell believes the hard work done on attacking play in training is finally coming to fruition.

“We are working on it every week since the start of the season. It is probably where we let ourselves down in the later part of the season.

“It’s definitely getting better the last few weeks. You have guys coming back to full fitness and Joey (Carbery) is slotting in nicely.

“Chris Farrell is back in the mix, which is massive for us. I think we are playing some good rugby at the moment and it’s an important time of the year to be doing it.”
