Paul Young returns for the love of the common people

One of the most popular music acts from the 1980s, Paul Young is back on tour and will perform his Limerick date at University Concert Hall on Friday May 29. He is back to celebrate 35 years since the release of his โ€˜No Parlezโ€™ album.

It reached number 1 in the UK charts in 1983 for five weeks and fast became triple Platinum. The album produced Paulโ€™s first UK number 1 single โ€“ The Marvin Gaye cover of โ€˜Wherever I Lay My Hatโ€™ and hits โ€˜Come Back & Stayโ€™ and โ€˜Love of The Common Peopleโ€™. The album also features a cover of Joy Divisionโ€™s โ€˜Love Will Tear Us Apartโ€™.

He is also a Brit Award winner for Best Male vocalist, sings the opening lines on the original Band Aid Single โ€˜Feed The Worldโ€™ and performed at Live Aid in 1984.
