Circling falls in Cloud Study

-

FOLLOWING sell out performances and standing ovations at Galway International Arts Festival 2018, John Scott’s ‘Cloud Study’ comes to Dance Limerick on Thursday December 6, 8pm.

One of Ireland’s most prominent choreographers and a regular collaborator with Dance Limerick, Scott’s ‘Cloud Study’ is “part dance, part dream, part theatre, part athletics,” advises Jenny Traynor, manager at the John’s Square hub. “Two compelling dancers, Mufutau Yusuf, an Irishman, born in Nigeria and Salma Ataya, a Palestinian Dabka dancer, attempt to run 1,000 kilometres in circles and lines through the space, chasing dreams, memories and home.”

So Scott, creator of ‘HYPERACTIVE’ and the award winning, migration themed ‘Fall and Recover’,  brings to Limerick this wild explosive running dance: “Each fall and run generates beautiful, frantic wild movements, lifts, wild shapes in the air.”
