Limerick have been rewarded for winning their first All-Ireland in 45 years with six players making the GPA/GAA All Star team that was named tonight.
Sean Finn, Richie English, Declan Hannon, Dan Morrissey, Cian Lynch and Graeme Mulcahy have all been recognised for their outstanding performances this season in Limerick’s run to All-Ireland glory.
Finn and English were key cogs in Limerick’s full back line, while Hannon and Morrissey also starred in John Kiely’s team.
Lynch picked up this award and the Hurler of the Year gong thanks to some special showings in the middle of the park.
Mulcahy, meanwhile, was a lethal member of Limerick’s full forward line, scoring a first half goal in the final victory over Galway at Croke Park.
All 15 members of Limerick’s starting lineup from the All-Ireland Final were nominated for All-Stars. Kyle Hayes was recognised for his displays at centre forward by winning the Young Hurler of the Year award.
