THIS year’s Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards will be hotly contested by 21 companies across seven categories.
The category winners, as well as the 2018 Overall Business of the Year and the President’s Award, will be announced at the Limerick Chamber President’s Dinner on Friday, November 16 in the Limerick Strand Hotel.
Sponsored by LIT, the awards are designed to recognise the hard work, commitment and innovative approach each company has showcased which has contributed to the growth of the area.
The judges will grant the Overall Business of the Year Award to an applicant they believe submitted an outstanding application and has made significant progress in the region.
Limerick Chamber chief executive Dee Ryan said that the standard of entries was so high that the independent judging panel, chaired by former Entrepreneur of the Year, Anne Heraty, deliberated for more than 12 hours before reaching their decisions.
“It was nail-bitingly close for many categories with high-scoring entries narrowly missing out in a place in the final. All of the entrants can be very proud of their performances,” she added.
LIT Vice-President Dr. Liam Brown said they were delighted to partner with Limerick Chamber in recognising the success and achievements of businesses in the region.
“It is an opportunity to honour companies who are thriving and succeeding in the current economic climate.”
