DOCUMENTS, phones and computers have been seized during a number of searches in Limerick including one at a county based garda station.
More than a dozen homes were searched this Thursday and Friday as part of an investigation into the use of “bogus insurance certificates”.
Upwards of 30 officers from the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation carried out the searches at 16 residential premises and at Rathkeale Garda Station.
The searches took place between Thursday and Friday this week
Documentation, phones, computers and two vehicles were seized by detectives but no arrests were made but investigations are ongoing.
