THE Process Of Doubt, a joint exhibition by Kate Molloy and Róisín O’Sullivan, will open this Friday 7 at The Sailor’s House, O’Curry Street from 6pm to 8:30pm. An after party at The Wickham Tap will follow.
The show will continue until September 16.
Press is told that “The Process of Doubt attempts to emphasise the many decisions an artist faces during their working process. This exhibition focuses on the precarious balance between instinct and conscious thought.
“Both practices are engaged with varying painting methods but have also incorporated printmaking as a tool to develop and further engage the painting practice. Initiated through the diverse topic of abstraction, the exhibition questions what motivates as well as inhibits an artist and more specifically, the contemporary painter?”
Both Process artists trained at GMIT and went further. London based O’Sullivan graduated with a Masters in Fine Art from Central St Martin’s; Molloy is an MFA from Edinburgh College of Art.
