COMMERCIAL terminal flights at Shannon were up by 8 per cent with an average of 68 daily commercial movements at Shannon. The increase is part of the overall busiest-ever July recorded in Irish airspace. According to the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA), total flights handled in Irish airspace for July 2018 was recorded at 115,834 movements, making it the busiest-ever July in Ireland, 3.2 per cent on last year. The 8 per cent increase at Shannon further highlights the improving results the airport is experiencing in recent months. Overall, the 115,834 movements across terminals at Dublin airport, Cork airport and Shannon airport include Europe/US flights and overflights, flights, which do not land in Ireland but are managed by Irish airspace.
