Dolan’s have also been shortlisted as finalists in four categories in the Irish Pubs Global Awards 2018. The bar/restaurant/venue is up for Best Entertainment Experience, Best Chef, Best Marketing Campaign and Best Bar Person.
The venue is a finalist in this year’s Bar of the Year Awards, in the Best Entertainment Experience category.
From traditional music sessions in the bar to headline shows from Franz Ferdinand and Future Islands in the Warehouse to acoustic and jazz sessions in the upstairs venue and alternative and indie in The Kasbah Social Club, Dolan’s has a space for all artists touring the country.
“Both of these awards competitions recognise the excellent service and quality that exists today within the licensed trade,” said a delighted Mick Dolan this week.
“We are shortlisted as finalists along with many of Ireland’s leading players in the pub industry. A testament to the hard work that goes in behind the scenes to ensure Dolan’s is recognised as one of the best venues in Ireland.”
The Dolans are no strangers when it comes to awards since opening in 1994. They won the Pure Magazine Best Venue award in 2017. In 2015 Dolan’s were also the overall winners of the IMRO Live Music Venue of the Year awards. The Irish Pubs Global Awards show will be held in Galway on October 9.
This week Dolan’s host Walking on Cars at King John’s Castle on Friday 20. Gavin James headlines at the same venue on Saturday with an after-party arranged in Dolan’s with The Lemon Suckers.
