Acoustic Club In The Black
THIS week’s special guests at The Acoustic Club on Tuesday July 3 at Charlie Malone’s Bar is In The Black.
The trio from Castleconnell is singer/ songwriter Patrick Barry, Leon O’Keefe, bass and Conor O’Donovan on drums. Each member has a long history within the music scene in Limerick.
The band’s influences come from a wide range of music genres culminating in a Roots Rock, Americana, Folk sound with strong vocal lines and plenty of emotion filtering throughout.
The Acoustic Club hosts local, independent and nationally touring performers weekly.
Irish Country stars perform in Killaloe
An All-Star cast of the best Irish Country entertainers are set to descend on Killaloe for a huge night of music and dancing.
Lined up for this impressive show is Ray Lynam, T.R. Dallas, Trudi Lalor, Gerry Guthrie, Hugo Duncan and headlined by the Queen of Irish Country, Margo singing the songs that have made them household names.
Margo is excited to be coming back to the County Clare town.
“I cannot wait to make a return visit to perform at this concert at the Lakeside Hotel in Killaloe. The audience was so welcoming and friendly last year when I was there, and I really enjoyed meeting so many of them after the show.
“It really was a special evening and I am looking forward to meeting lots of them again”.
Other acts on this bill include Michael Collins, Keelan and direct from Nashville Tennessee the great singer/songwriter Max T. Barnes.
Max has penned its for Randy Travis (Storms of Life) and Collin Raye (Love Me). His late father Max D. Barnes was also a hugely successful songwriter and one of his compositions was the Big Tom hit, ‘You’re Going out the Same Way you Came in’.
Expect a Big Tom tribute to be included at this special concert. Tickets for this super night of Country music and song are almost sold out already so don’t delay if you would like to be there.

Langford in Treaty Brewery
Indie Beer Week is running nationwide and local brewery Treaty City Brewery is opening their doors for tours, tastings and a live show to celebrate and support independent craft brewers across the country.
The Limerick brewery will host a night of live music this June 30. Folk guitarist and singer songwriter Emma Langford will play music tracks from her debut album Quite Giant.
The audience will also sample Treaty City Brewery beers which is included in the €12 ticket price.
Proceeds from tickets sales will be donated to Down Syndrome Association Limerick.

Seoda Shows Summer Party
PROMOTER Seoda Show has just announced a very strong Summer Party Line Up and tickets are selling fast. Playing on Saturday August 11 is Fontaines D.C., Pillow Queens, Slow Riot, Melts, PowPig with more to be announced.
The line up mixes local and national acts with two quality all girl bands adding to diversity.
Dublin band Fontaines D.C. are busy on the festival circuit over the summer here, in the UK, Barcelona and Berlin. The guitar band signed to Partisan Records (home to John Grant and Cigarettes After Sex) just 12 months after their debut single Liberty Belle was released.
