The Market Quarter Charity Cup which took place on June 4 in Ballykisteen proved a great success for all involved with the Limerick Animal Welfare the beneficiaries of a cheque for €5,000.
Chief organiser of the event, Phil Flannery, would like to thank all those who took part in the event, those that sponsored tee boxes and helped out on the day.
“A special mention for both the Limerick Post for their coverage of the event and Glen Davis, Davis Printers for his time and resources in making the event such a success. We are already looking forward to next year and hoping to make the event an even bigger success.”
We as a group are continually looking for ways to help improve our area and also the city. With that in mind, we have decided to make the market quarter plastic free, all the bars and some restaurants will now only be using biodegradable straws.”
