An exciting new 6-month traineeship programme has today been announced by Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board and Clenn Construction. Learners from the ETB have already commenced work-based learning as part of the traineeship at a manufacturing site in Galvone.
Commenting on the new traineeship programme, Eimear Brophy, Further Education and Training Manager, said: “This is a great opportunity for Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board learners to learn on-the-job construction techniques, building and health and safety. This will equip them with a QQI qualification and pave their way to careers in the construction industry.”
US Company Clenn Construction build off-site prefabricated high-quality eco-friendly houses and has specifically chosen Limerick because of its ideal location with access to major roads, ports and airports.
Commenting on the new programme, Clenn Construction founder, Patrick Benn, said: “We are delighted to be based in Limerick and the job creation opportunities that this venture will offer as we expand into Irish and European markets.”
