A MAN in his 20s has been arrested by gardai in connection with an alleged burglary at a Limerick city bookies.
Henry Street Gardai arrested the man at a bookmakers in Johnsgate Village at around 6am this Tuesday morning.
Once the alarm was raised, Gardai arrived at the scene and saw two men leaving the premises and following a short pursuit one of the males was arrested.
The man in his 20s is currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
However, Gardai are appealing to members of the public who may have witnessed anything in the area between 5am and 6.15am to contact Henry Street Garda Station on 061 212 400 or the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.
