The Granard Cup Club Qualifier took place yesterday with a great turnout of pairings from the ladies to support this great charity event in aid of the NCBI’s National Children’s Services (Enabling children who are blind and vision impaired to help reach their full potential).
The format was scotch foursomes and this format certainly brought the best out in our club members with great scores returned.
The winning duo of Lauren Kelly and Caitlin Shippman 38pts will now go forward to represent the club at the finals on 13th August in Newlands, Dublin, 2nd placed was Majella Hallinan & Jane Cowhey 37pts.
Final preparations are well under way for the Junior Cup Team which takes on Lahinch in Newcastle West on Saturday 26th May @ 2.00pm – as the time fast approached we wish the Panel Mary T Real, Elaine Bermingham, Majella Hallinan, Paula Carroll Jane Cowhey, Claire Griffin, Lauren Kelly & Caitlin Shippman the very best of luck in this big match-play compt under watchful of Team Manager Catherine Murphy.
