Australia Ambassador to Ireland visits Limerick for information night

Thinking about making the move down under in 2018? You’re not alone!

Since 1975 over 275,000 Irish citizens have had visas issued to them for Australia. That’s a lot of sun block!  We all know someone who has gone over there on a working holiday visa or who is just back. The home of Summer Bay and Aussie Rules still proves a crowd favourite so if you’re planning to follow in the footsteps of many an Irish man and woman USIT have an event you won’t want to miss.

They are holding a free information night in the Savoy Hotel Limerick on Tues 22nd of May. There will be a special guest in attendance, the Australian Ambassador to Ireland Richard Andrews.  His excellency, Mr Andrews will be joining the event to meet young Irish people who are planning to spend a year or longer in Australia. He wants to tell them about the special connection between Australia and his adopted home, Ireland.

The USIT event is free to attend and intrepid backpackers can find out about visa eligibility, where the hotspots are for 2018, costs, jobs and what the lifestyle is like look down under plus loads more.

There will also be an opportunity to meet Ambassador Richard Andrews at the end of the talk and ask him about Australia !
