Leading audit, tax and advisory firm Mazars has announced that it is creating a new payroll outsourcing business unit providing both domestic and international payroll in Mazars Limerick. The new business unit will create up to 25 new jobs over a four-year period. This unit will enhance its overall capabilities on the western seaboard of Ireland.
Last year, Mazars merged with Maguire Caulfield Browne to build on the strong Maguire Caulfield Browne team in the Mid-West of Ireland, now Mazars is expanding their client offering to service the increasing demand for outsourced payroll services. Current and future growth of the Mazars payroll services business is expected to be driven by a number of factors. These include impending regulatory changes, the attractiveness of the mid-west for multi-national organisations wishing to outsource functions, the general benefits associated with the outsourcing of payroll functions and the globalisation of businesses.
Commenting on the new roles, Mairéad Divilly, Payroll Outsourcing Partner, Mazars said;
“Our ambition is to become Ireland’s leading domestic and international payroll provider in the Mid-West of Ireland. Incoming regulatory changes such as GDPR and the implementation of PAYE Modernisation and Real-Time Reporting, both of which will impact payroll operations and processing, will further the need for specialist expertise. The requirement for outsourcing is further driven by a shortage of specialised in-house payroll practitioners, which is compounded by a competitive recruitment market and the globalisation of businesses. At Mazars, we are well positioned to navigate these various challenges on behalf of our clients to ensure robust compliance and enhanced benefits across their business.”
Richard Maguire, Lead Partner, Mazars Limerick, commented;
“I am delighted to welcome the expansion of our existing Limerick office and broader capacity on the west coast of Ireland. Our continued growth is a testament to the attractiveness of the region for international investment and multi-nationals. Home to over 100 overseas companies, and with multi-nationals employing over 14,000 people, the potential of Limerick and the west is being recognised internationally. With a young population and programmes such as Limerick 2030 driving overall development, we look forward to future growth as an established member of the local and regional business community.”
These additions bring the total number of Mazars Ireland staff to over 400 in Limerick, Galway, and Dublin. Mazars Ireland is part of a single international integrated partnership of over 20,000 professionals in 86 countries.
