THE Limerick Writers’ Centre will launch a book about what makes the Beatles so special next month. ‘Behind the Wall of Illusion – the religious, occult and esoteric world of the Beatles’ will be launched at the Hunt Museum at 3pm on Sunday, April 8.
Limerick-based writer Sean MacLeod’s new book takes us not only behind the Fab Four’s music and personalities but examines the phenomenon that was the Beatles and puts them into perspective as heralds of a new age and conscious development of mankind. His previous books ‘Leaders of the Pack: Girl Groups of the 1960s and Their Influence on Popular Culture in Britain and America’ in 2015 and ‘Phil Spector: Sound of the Sixties’ in 2017 received critical acclaim.
