Gardai appeal for video evidence of Limerick school bus crash

-

GARDAI in Limerick are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen last Wednesday’s school bus crash in County Limerick.

In the wake of 36 teens being hospitalised after a Bus Eireann contracted service crashed on the road between Herbertstown and Ballyneety, Gardai are now asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to come forward.

Shortly after 8.30am on Wednesday morning, the 57 seater bus left the road at an area known as Connolly’s Cross crashing into two cars before crashing over a ditch.

36 of the 46 teenage passengers were taken to hospital as well as two adults but most returned to school the following morning.

Detectives in Roxboro Road Garda Station are asking if any drivers in the area on the morning have dashcam footage that may have captured the horror events.

A number of investigations are underway and gardai in Roxboro can be contacted on 061 214340.
