Anthology’s doors to the world

Kelpie Pearls, painted by Ophelia Redpath

THAT colourful ode to culture, fashion and travel, โ€˜Anthology; a collection of beautiful experiencesโ€™, emerged early for 2018. Published by Limerick woman Edel Cassidy, this fifth 100-page journal roams from the YSL Museum in Paris to Belleek and Waterford Castles, into the works of various Irish artists and the pre-Raphaelites, whose style Irelandโ€™s 20th William Orpen admired.

Overseas the food and Trulli architecture of Puglia in south eastern Italy make for an eye-watering feature. Cover story is always an artist, often female and of international renown.

Bear in mind that Anthology was nominated in Novemberโ€™s Irish Magazine Awards for Cover of the Year and Designer of the Year (Roslyn Woodward of Adare) when just a year old.

This seasonโ€™s love is Cambridge born Ophelia Redpat (picture), interviewed by Cassidy herself on her colourful 30 years as painter and writer.
