COMEDIAN Danny O’Brien last performed in Limerick as opening support for Today FM’s Dermot & Dave’s nationwide ‘Ah Sure Look It’ Tour. After a successful month long residency at Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a tour of South East Asia, the award-winning comedian is bringing his solo show to venues across the country.
Danny inherited a broken-down, unreliable, older-than-he-is motorcycle and took to the road on a comedic expedition. Danny’s expedition was nearly abandoned before he even left his hometown as he had to take his motorbike driving test not once, not twice but three times to get on the road. This show is the story of this RaconTour- in all its glory, failures and triumphs alike. Hear stories of his attempts to pass a test in the heart of Tallaght, his attempt to take his bike to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Following in the footsteps of Simon Pegg, Dylan Moran and Dara O’Briain, Danny was handpicked this year to perform as part of the iconic ‘Best of The Edinburgh Fest’ show in Australia, touring Perth World Fringe, Adelaide Fringe Festival and The Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
The Sunday Independent wrote that Danny is set to be “to be one of the breakout comedy stars of 2018.”
Danny O’Brien brings his Racon Show to Dolan’s this Friday January 12.
