Molly Martens, the 34-year-old former model who murdered Limerick man Jason Corbett in their North Carolina home in August 2015, is facing the prospect of a further three years in jail.
Ms Martens and her father, Thomas Michael Martens, are serving minimum sentences of 20 years for the second-degree murder of the 39-year-old Limerick businessman she married in 2011.
According to the Irish Examiner, Ms Martens now faces a three-year extension after she was cited last month for “unauthorised leave” – meaning she left a supervised area without permission or did not report to one as required.
