Major work planned for Shannon airport terminal building

PASSENGERS arriving at Shannon airport in 2018 will be in for a new and more stylish welcome if the Shannon Airport Authority is given the go-ahead for plans to upgrade the main terminal building.

According to documents lodged by Tobin Consulting Engineering on behalf of the Shannon Airport Authority, the development will include a new cafe and improvements to the arrivals hall.

Pending approval from the Clare County Council planning department, work on the refurbishment project is expected to begin early in the new year.
