Waterford has the Blaa but Limerick has the #BLASambo, thanks to Twomey’s Bakery in Dromcollogher.
The award-winning bakery collaborated with chef Dermot Clancy to create a mouthwatering sandwich using gold Blas na hEireann winning products from Co Limerick including Twomey’s white batch loaf and Irish Whiskey Mustard by the Green Apron in Ballingarry.
Also used were Glenstal Butter from Murroe and Glensallagh Selection Irish Silverside Pastrami from Glen Aine Foods, Knocklong.
The #BLASambo was served at the Bank of Ireland Food Series event last week which saw the launch of the 2017 Blas na hEireann Buyers’ Directory.
