A NEW take on Joyce’s ‘Dubliners’ short stories for theatre, ‘Dubliners Women’ ”shines a light on the lesser known women’s stories – The Boarding House, Clay and Eveline“.
Directed by Sarah Baxter, adapted by playwright and actress Katie O’Kelly and with Maudi O’Carroll, Kate O’Kelly and Gordon Quigley, it’s a Belltable show this Saturday 18, 8pm curtin.
Programme notes tell us that it “brings characters to life in a highly performative and theatrical storytelling style.
“The script is a faithful adaptation of Joyce’s text, finding the humour and quintessential Irish wit in the stories through performance, drawing you in to the inner narratives of the central characters.”
