Supermac’s official opening this weekend

WITH its 35 new jobs, Limerick and Ireland’s newest Supermac’s will throw open its doors this weekend, when former Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan officially cuts the tape at the Ballysimon Road restaurant.

During the construction process, 60 jobs were created and a further 35 jobs will be ongoing in the restaurant bringing to 300 the amount of people employed by the Supermac’s and So Hotel group in the Limerick region, including the Castletroy Park Hotel.

Owners Pat and Una McDonagh will host a Family Funday and will be joined for the official opening celebrations by former Irish rugby legend and broadcaster, Alan Quinlan as well as Fair City’s Ryan Andrews and Dave O’Sullivan who play Sean Cassidy and Decco Bishop on the hit RTÉ soap.

Supermac’s Managing Director Pat McDonagh said, “We are delighted to add Supermac’s Ballysimon Road to the Supermac’s family and, as with all our restaurants throughout the country, we strive to be strong members of the local community and so we welcome the local schools, businesses and sports clubs in particular to attend.”
