THE Smithwick’s Soundtrack Series brings R&B/ agro-soul group BARQ to Dolan’s with their interpretation of the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino’s much-loved 1994 film ‘Pulp Fiction’. From the blistering intro of Dick Dale’s guitar playing to Dusty’s take on ‘Preacher Man’ BARQ aim to deliver an exciting live music experience for film and music lovers from this iconic playlist.
Jess Kav of BARQ told Limerick Post, “We felt the mixture of surf, soul and rock from the Pulp Fiction soundtrack was a great fit for BARQ and complements our sound nicely.”

Smithwick’s Irish Ale has announced an exciting new music experience called ‘Smithwick’s Soundtrack Series’. The special series of gigs will see two of Ireland’s best live music acts, BARQ and Le Galaxie, showcase their contemporary take on two of the most memorable soundtracks of all time: Pulp Fiction and Apocalypse Now. Many months in the making, Smithwick’s Soundtrack Series is on tour from October 2017, with BARQ performing in Dolan’s on Tuesday, 17 October.
Paul Dunkin from the Smithwick’s Team went onto say that “Smithwick’s has always been about doing what we love, which is brewing great ale – from our original Red Ale to our newer brews of Pale and Blonde.
