Limerick Church targeted by vandals for third time

-

LIMERICK’s Holy Rosary Church on the Ennis Road has been attacked by raiding vandals for the third time in just a fortnight.

Mayorstone Gardai are investigating a number of incidents at the city church including one last Thursday where lead flashing was taken from the roof. This lead to extensive rain and water damage to the building.

Gardai were forced to return to the Ennis Road Church just four days later to further investigate after the replacement emergency flashing had been stolen again.

Last week, two church windows were broken in a separate incident.

Gardai are reviewing CCTV footage of all three incidents and are appealing for anyone with information to contact the garda station at 061 456980.
