A STRONG new opportunity for young amateurs and professionals in performing arts in the Mid West to upskill beckons from the grounds of University of Limerick.
Leading Edge Project launches at the Irish Chamber Orchestra studio on north campus this Summer under the direction of actor Zachary Morris. Workshops to train further in theatre, musical theatre and any other acting platform is the mission and Morris is well qualified to lead.
His own West End credits include ‘The Secret Garden’, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Spring Awakening and ‘Rocky Horror’.

The first for Limerick is called ‘The Spark of Creation’. The Spark takes place at the ICO’s studio space on from July 24 to 28, 10am to 5pm daily.
Content will incorporate show-stopping musical numbers, acting pieces and choreography, showcasing every performer’s unique abilities and talents. Cost is low at just €159 and there is a 25 per cent discount for siblings.
“We run workshops in London and the UK,” explains Zachary Morris. ‘This June the Leading Edge ‘L.E.A.Ps’ across the pond and launches in Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York.
“Through the medium of expressive arts it is our mission to create a safe and brave space for young people to share their gifts with the world.
