New beginnings for VTOS craft and design students

Thursday 25 at the state of the art new campus, Kilmallock Road

ART, Craft and Design students undertaking the VTOS programme at the new Further Education and Training Centre, Kilmallock Road Campus hold an exhibition of their work on Thursday May 25, 10-2pm.

This mixed media showcase will present a range of paintings, drawings, crafts, graphic design and photography. Still, consider it only a selection of the total creative output of the learners over the past year.

Commenting, course leader, Jayne Foley tell us: “It’s exciting for us to show this work as it is so important for any artist to have their work viewed by the public. In essence, a public viewing is the final element in the creative process and this gives the budding artists the chance to gauge that reaction.”

“We start out the course in September and the learners develop their skills through equal measures of hard work and encouragement, both from the staff and from each other.

“At the end of the term we showcase some of the work and this allows others who may be interested in the course to see what we are about.”
