Limerick date in Dolan’s for Wyvern Lingo

wyvernlingo1-copyFollowing a stunning performance at the Electric Picnic, and UK support tours for Hozier and James Vincent McMorrow, Wyvern Lingo tour the country coming to Limerick to play Dolan’s this Thursday December 1.

The Bray trio continue to hone and refine their pop, r’n’b sound building their repertoire for their much anticipated upcoming debut album

Fresh musical hints have arrived in the shape of their Lamplight Sessions EP which gathers together some live fan favourite cover versions as well as stripped down live takes of ‘Letter to Willow’ and ‘Sweet Life Ruiner’.

Caoimhe Barry – (Vocals / Percussion), Karen Cowley (Vocals / Keyboard) and Saoirse Duane (Vocals / Guitar) first played music together while in secondary school in Bray. The name Wyvern Lingo came from a rushed effort to get a name for a school Christmas concert, literally picked out of the dictionary.

They planned to change it sometime but now they have learned to love the name which loosely means Dragon Dialect, as they were all big fans of ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’.

The band has spent the last year working very hard on the new Wyvern Lingo sound,

“The first EP had a disjointed recording process. We are collaborating a lot more now and working on the sound and it is paying off. We are becoming the band we always wanted to be.”

The fanclub continues to build and their catalogue has thus far racked up in excess of four million streams on Spotify.

Wyvern Lingo play Dolan’s this Thursday December 1.
