GARDAI and the family of Limerick woman have renewed their missing persons appeal for Maria Hennigar (35) who has not been seen in almost four weeks.
Ms Hennigar, who originally comes from the Fr Russell Road, has not been seen at her home in Doolin where she had been living for the last number of months.
The Limerick woman, who is a freelance filmmaker is described as being 5’7″, with brown hair, blueish green eyes and is of medium build.
Ms Hennigan, who lived alone, was last seen at Doonmacphelim, Doolan on November 1 last and the alarm was raised after neighbour grew concerned having not seen the Limerick woman in sometime.
Maria’s sister, Michelle said over the weekend that searches along the Clare coastline would continue.
Posting on Facebook as part of a widespread social media appeal, Michelle thanks all those who shared the missing persons appeal.
“Hi folks, thanks so much for sharing this. Unfortunately we have no news yet. We spent the day in Doolin searching for her and passing out posters and speaking to people who know her.
“We have some names and numbers to check in with and a few people mentioned that she goes to Galway often so hopefully something will come of that.
“We’ll be going back to search the surrounding areas and we may be organising a search in the coming days.
“Thank you all again for your concern and help and please keep your eyes peeled.”
Anyone who may have seen Maria or may know of her whereabouts is asked to contact Ennistymon Garda station on 065 7072180, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
