Rugby – Ulster Bank Leauge Round 7 Previews

screen-shot-2016-11-10-at-12-23-54SECONDS out, round seven. With a break coming up next weekend, the seven Limerick sides in action will all be chasing vital points in the Ulster Bank league this weekend.
In Division 1A, table toppers Young Munster travel to Dublin six for the second week in a row, hoping for a similar return from their 5 point haul against St Mary’s. Gearoid Prendergast’s side are the top scorers in the Division, yet they still possess the worst defence. Their game against Terenure will be seen as an easy win, but with Dan Goggin and Abrie Griesel both absent, the ‘Cookies’ could be tested in Nure.
In the same Division, Garryowen, will face St Mary’s in the knowledge that they need a win to move them away from ninth. Such is the tightness of the league however, a win for Garryowen could see them leap four spots this weekend.
In Division 1B, the tie of the weekend sees UL Bohemians entertain Shannon on the 4G pitch in UL. The Robins were defeated last weekend by Buccaneers, while Shannon got their first win of the season against Dolphin. They say that form goes out the window in derbies and results in this tie over the last number of years prove just that. This game could be a classic.
In Division 2B, Thomond travel to table leaders and undefeated Armagh, while eight placed Old Crescent will face their chances against last placed City of Derry.
Finally, in Division 2C, Bruff and Kanturk will meet in a bottom of the table clash this Saturday afternoon in  Cork. Bruff are in dire need of a win in this clash to cut the Cork side adrift.
