FUNDED by City of Culture 2014 through Film Limerick and Behind the Scenes, three short fictional films were commissioned after a call out to Limerick based film makers. Now RTE2 is set to showcase the final works in a late viewing slot, November midnights.

Made individually and locally with each director in collaboration with Gerry Stembridge (Scrap Saturday, About Adam), TRILOGY units worked as a training exercise mentored by professional technicians and editors.

RTE2 opens with ‘Day Off’ by Stephen Hall on Monday 7 at 12.05am. ‘The Apparel’ by Peter Delaney follows on November 14 and ‘Date: Time’ by Paul Corey on November 21.

“This is a fantastic honour to have the films screened on RTE and RTE international Player,” observed executive producer Ronan Cassidy to Limerick Post. “It is also a fantastic opportunity to showcase the talent we have in Limerick. This project has been a massive effort by the local community and deserve the biggest audience it can get”.
Film maker Steve Hall received the Newport Beach Selection Audience Award for ‘Day Off’ at this week’s 2016 Richard Harris International Film Festival. It guarantees Hall a screening at this prestigious festival in California next April.
TRILOGY films will be available subsequent to broadcast on rte.ie/player/ie/show/shortscreen for some weeks.
