‘VOICES of Limerick’ is a mixed voice choir based in the heart of Limerick City. Its aim is to foster a love and knowledge of choral music and to make singing an enjoyable activity for all members.
Since its foundation in 1992, Voices of Limerick has maintained a loyal membership, singing a wide repertoire of choral works under the direction of the renowned Colette Davis. In recent years, the choir performed choruses from the operas of Puccini, Verdi and Wagner while paying tribute to Irish composers such as Fleishmann and Colman Pearce.
Throughout their history, the choir has collaborated with a number of talented soloists in the most prestigious venues in Ireland.
Voices of Limerick is a choir that is suited to all ranges of abilities, from a person who can ‘hold a note’, to an experienced singer. In the coming months, Voices of Limerick will begin to prepare for their 25th Anniversary Concert in 2017 and they warmly welcome new members to perform at this special event.
Rehearsals take place every Monday night in Mary Immaculate College from 8pm to 10pm. To find out more, contact Deirdre on 087-2558381.
