KNOWN for selling out major venues such as UCH, National Concert Hall and Cork Opera House, the Mario Lanza Tribute, ‘The Loveliest Night of the Year’ returns to our concert hall on Saturday October 22, 8pm.

This wonderful show unites tenor Sean Costello, baritone Frank Naughton and soprano Sandra Oman in marking the 57th year of the matinée idol’s death.

“This is a special celebration concert honouring the life and times of Mario Lanzo, the greatest voice of the 20th century,” says The Tribute’s PRO. “He is famous for singing such arias as the love duet from ‘Othello’. His movies include ‘That Midnight Kiss’, ‘The Toast of New Orleans’ and his greatest film success, ‘The Great Caruso’ made him world famous. This celebration concert tour will feature all of his greatest hits”.

The soloists are accompanied by Vladimir Jablokov (coming soon with his violinist brother Anton for UCH, Friday 28 concert) leading the Slovak Festival Orchestra.

Lanza’s audience is assured of a perfectly pitched, exciting delivery; www.uch.ie
