REECE Mason Fahy was diagnosed with global development delay at eight-months-old when he was brought to hospital with a severe dose of chicken pox.
Now 6-years-old, he is always very happy and enjoys his favourite TV programme ‘Mickey Mouse’.
Reece was given his first wheelchair when he was two-years-old to give him some independence and he depends on this to get him around daily. He has now outgrown his wheelchair and needs a new one.
This Saturday, October 15 will see a special fundraiser for Reece at Jackman Park.
Schoolboys/girls teams are playing at 3pm followed by the Irish Amputees v Ballynanty Rovers at 3.45pm. There will be an entry fee of €5 per person at the gate. There will also be a raffle taking place afterwards in Fizgeralds Bar, Thomondgate, for a signed Irish jersey and two tickets for Ireland’s World Cup qualifier game with Wales.
