ONE local Limerick family will be the benefactors of funds raised from a unique culinary event hosted by one of the best chefs in the country.
With a host of national awards on the mantle piece of Restaurant 1826, the Adare based cooking mastermind, Wade Murphy will host a magical fundraising night for families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
Under the campaign of #SightForHungryEyes, a special five course tasting menu will be designed for the event aimed at raising much needed funds for families affected by the disease.
Upwards of 50,000 families are affected by Alzheimer’s and the Limerick event will see that money raised goes directly to a local family.
Italian chef Cristina Giacomelli, founder of the project, and Luciano Tona of the Michelin starred Osteria Lucio in Dublin will collaborate with Wade on the night.
The night will be hosted at the Adare restaurant on October 5 next and will run at four other venues around the country during that week.
