WITH the primary objective of honouring local teenagers aged between 14 and 19 who have contributed to their community, the organizers of this year’s Limerick Garda Youth Awards are seeking nominations over the next six weeks ahead of the October 28 closing date.

Launched by Superintendent Derek Smart at Henry Street Garda Station this week, the awards scheme will acknowledge young people who have made a significant contribution to their neighbourhoods or the broader community.

Nominations are being accepted from from the four Garda divisions in the Limerick district.

Sponsored by Garvey’s Centra and Supervalu, the awards presentation will take place on Monday, November 24 at the Woodlands House Hotel.

Nominations forms can be obtained at any Garda station or online at www.garveygroup.ie
