THE wife of Limerick billionaire JP McManus has been halted in her plans to develop and extend a house owned on Millionairesโ€™ Row in Dublinโ€™s leafy suburbs.

Last July, Noreen McManus lodged plans to Dublin City Council which would compromise of demolishing an 80sqm bungalow and replacing it with a 200sqm luxury linked building at the back of the main home on 22 Ailesbury Road, Dublin 4.

The original home was bought from developer Bernard McNamara for โ‚ฌ10m in 2011 and two mews buildings were added a year later.

Now, Ms McManus wishes to build an extension which would link all three properties.

However, former Fair City actor and neighbour Claudia Carroll has objected to plans stating that her home โ€œwill be totally overlooked by this property, violating privacy and overshadowing my gardenโ€.

Following the objection, the council has put a halt to the plans until a resolution is reached.
