The print beauty of ‘Anthology’ – made in Limerick

2nd issue out September 2016
2nd issue out September 2016

‘ANTHOLOGY: a collection of beautiful experiences’ is a new quarterly journal from business woman Edel Cassidy that delights the mind and eye.

The first issue ran off Longford presses this summer; come mid September issue two will be another to grab from Easons or Tesco. Reader, begin now your shelf of ANTHOLOGY, a cultural, social and visual treasure.

Editorial contributions are various and appeal to men and women: “Every ANTHOLOGY will feature an artist on the cover and the Summer magazine has Tina Cassati (art pictured). She is based in Germany and I came across her work somewhere. I love that combining of art and photography that she does”.

Cassidy herself has penned an article on the respective merits of collecting art for art’s sake or/ and for profit.

“I had the great luck that a friend of mine, Patrick Jordan, was travelling to Sub-Antarctica and he wrote that article about it. I think it is amazing – and he took the photographs”.

Coffee-table in style, ANTHOLOGY sells at a snug €3.50, accessibility being key. The accent is on production values, and a concept that embraces artistry with solid word power within a compact bind. This is a wide-lens look at the world with Centenary 1916, music and interiors delivered as well as travelogues from Marathon and Fez.

ANTHOLOGY’s editorial team is Edel Cassidy and Jeannie Croucher and in production, the gifted Ros Woodham on layout and Tatiana Cocquerel on fashion, Lynne Clark on design. May this September’s 100 pages be as readable and as rewarding.
