Ireland’s Claire Lambe and Sinead Lynch (a member of St Michael’s Rowing Club in Limerick) have qualified for the women’s lightweight double sculls Olympic final. The race, which takes place at 2.30pm today in Rio, sees the Irish duo start in lane 6 of the Women’s lightweight double sculls.
Favourties for today’s Gold are Ursula Grobler and Kirsten McCann from South Africa, while Maaike Head and Ilse Paulis from Holland are also expected to have a chance to medal. The race will be shown live on RTE2.
