THE Limerick senior and intermediate football championships return this weekend following the Senior inter county side’s departure from this year’s championship.
There is little room for manoeuvre as both Group 1 and Group 2 are air tight following the opening two rounds of the championship. In group 1, Oola, who play St Patrick’s and St Kieran’s who face Dromcollogher/ Broadford, are the two sides on top of the group with three points from their opening two clashes. With the aforementioned Drom/ Broadford, St Patrick’s and Na Piarsaigh all on two points from two games, it is all to play for this weekend, with Ballylanders looking to pick up their first points.
It is no different in Group 2, with Fr Casey’s, Monaleen and champions Newcastlewest all on three points from two games. Pallasgreen (2), Rathkeale (1) and Ballysteen (2) are still in the mix.
