IT was another great year for the Pig ‘n’ Porter festival in Limerick last weekend as Ireland’s biggest Tag Rugby event took place at the Old Crescent RFC.
The hugely popular sporting festival were celebrating their 15th anniversary at the rugby grounds in Rosbrien and as usual there was a huge turnout for the occasion with Tag teams from all over the world descending on Limerick.
The venue at Old Crescent RFC in Rosbrien wasn’t the only place in Limerick welcoming visitors to the city with locals bars, restaurants and hotels all doing their bit to welcome and entertain the enthusiastic taggers over the weekend.
After a spectacular display of Tag rugby it was time for the prize giving ceremony and after that it was time for all the teams to kick back and relax with a huge array of entertainment laid on for all the teams and their many supporters.
As you can see from our photographs a brilliant time was had by everyone who attended this year’s festivities with lots of fun in the marquee until late with music from the band Whitewater and of course the now legendary Fr Ted Disco!
Other highlights included the Bord na Mona Fuels FREE BBQ and  plenty of goodies and giveaways courtesty of Bulmers Irish Cider and Spin South West.
Old Crescent RFC were also eager to continue their association with the festival’s charity which sees funds raised for the nearby St. Gabriel’s School and Centre.
