Camogie – Limerick in must win tie with Offaly

AM8U9815-copyJOHN TUOHY’S Limerick senior camogie side face a massive clash with Offaly this Saturday in Kilmallock. The must win tie, which throws in at 2.30pm, sees Limerick battle with the Faithful county for a playoff spot from Group 1 of the championship.
Both sides sit on six points from their three games, having both lost to Cork.
Limerick, buoyed by their 1-13 to 0-9 win over Clare in Ennis last weekend, will enter the game as favourites with home advantage sure to help on the scoreboard.
Offaly, with Arlene Watkins and Tina Hannon starring for them have defeated Wexford and Clare already this season, however it will be interesting to see how they bounce back from their 3-14 to 1-5 loss to Cork last weekend.
Limerick are expected to name a similar side to the one that defeated Clare last weekend. Once again Niamh Mulcahy from Ahane, who scored 1-10 last weekend will be the one that Limerick will turn to for scores. However in the last number of outings Limerick have begun to rack up some good positive points difference which should come in handy this weekend.
The game will be refereed by Cathal Egan from Cork.
